Mangalore Runners Club

The Mangalore Runners Club is a diverse group of runners of all ages and abilities from various walks of life in Mangalore. It was founded by a group of six persons who had a passion for running. The group’s goal is to gather people from all around the city who enjoy running and want to live a fit and healthy lifestyle together. This club has grown to over 150 members in just a year. Runners from the club have participated in a number of well-known marathons, including the Tata Mumbai Marathon, the Ooty Ultra Marathon, and the Dandeli Ultra Marathon. A member of MRC has run 100 half marathons in a row, which is a significant accomplishment for us. For the past few years, MRC has been a part of the Hundred Days of Running Challenge.

Our team also helped organize Mangalore’s first marathon, The Big Balipu in 2016, The Big Balipu Virtual Marathon in 2020 as well as the TCS 10k virtual run in Mangalore. Every Sunday, the group arranges a run, provides coaching to novice runners, offers monthly training programs, and organizes and participates in running events across the country.
